Anticipation

Spring is drawing near and I am amplified! For starters, it means the semester is almost over and I’ll have more time to focus on different projects I’m working on. Although I won’t be graduating, many of my friends are making that transition and I am so happy and proud for them! They’ve worked really hard and it really is motivational.

I’m also excited about driving again! It might be just a little too much information to share why I haven’t driven since June 2011, but the point is I will be reunited with my baby very soon. Can you say road trip(s)!? Speaking of road trips, I think I’ve manifested being able to drive again, because I booked all these different trips, some strictly business and some for personal pleasure, way before I knew when I would actually be driving. Law of attraction, perhaps??

Besides that, I’m anticipating the close to perfect weather, the vibrant colors, the pretty flowers, even the fashion, which is odd for me, but as of lately I’ve taken more interest in my own style. During the winter season, I’m too busy trying to stay cold to worry about how I look, so I’m excited about the easy, breezy, beautiful sentiments that Spring brings.

What are some of the things you all are looking forward to this spring?

MUSIC: Is This Love - Mara Hruby

Is This Love by Bob Marley is probably in the top 10 of my favorite songs of all time. This cover by vocalist/song-writer, Mara Hruby, is absolutely incredible. I really love the concept of video and her voice definitely does this song justice. enjoy!

Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

Timing is everything. If we rush what is, ultimately, meant to be, the entire process is neglected. Processes are in place for preparation. Rushing or ignoring it will lead to disaster because no foundation has been established. Nothing in life is immediate. Nothing worth having comes overnight. I think people that strive for instant gratification are miserable. Creating our own time schedule set strict limitations on something so great, that will only be half as great without proper preparation.

Sometimes waiting simply means self preparation. In that case we, ourselves, are not yet ready to receive what it is we're praying/hoping for. It can also mean letting go to allow something potentially great to become, in due time, as great as it can possibly be. Good things come to those who wait, however, to make things clear, patience doesn't connote stagnancy. It's just what I would like to call the preparation era; not just 'waiting' for things to fall into place but mentally preparing (action verb) for things when they do, finally, fall into place.

We shouldn't rush life. If we do, it becomes detrimental to the natural, consistent flow of time. It cannot be controlled by humans. We cannot stop, rewind, fast forward, pause or even press play at our leisure. All we can do is live it out without fear of yesterday and look forward, hopeful about the future. Everything has its own time and space in the universal garden; there is a time to plant (put in) and a time to harvest (receive) and everyone's growth seasons are different. We must respect the matter of time for all it's worth and make the most of the only time we have, which is the present.
